This journey combines with trekking in some stretches, principally in the access to the waterfall.
Then you continue ascending by horse. This is ideal to appreciate, from the height, the sight of Lakes Nahuel Huapi and Correntoso.

Cajón Negro
You start the ascent along the canyon located between Belvedere and Incayal hills. Going through an area of coihues and canes. When ascending, as you get close to the ascent’s end, the lengas forests become stockier.
Finally, you arrive at the end of Cajón Negro, a little valley between Belvedere’s edges in the shape of a U.

Way to the port.
From the traffic circle and continuing the journey, on the right-hand side we find the building where the Mail Service worked, now occupied by Prefectura Naval Argentina. On the left-hand side, you can see beautiful private constructions, and further on, on the left-hand side, we access to Los Arrayanes National Park. At the end of Nahuel Huapi St., Brava Bay’s dock is placed. Another attraction of this place is the old building called La Flecha, the first general store that belonged to Barbagelata family. It dates from 1940 and worked until the beginning of the 80’s decade. Over time, the village activity focused in El Cruce and the ports’ zone became a residential place.

Steppe Horse Riding
“Villa Llanquín and El Chacal” fields.
Both places are located in Rio Negro Province, at the east side of Limay River.
You start the journey from Villa La Angostura by van. After crossing Limay River we get to “Don Segundo” establishment, where they wait for us with tortas fritas (griddlecake), mate and the horses ready for the ride. Then, we start going up the slopes towards “El Chacal”, through the first mountain ranges and passing by the breeding men’s posts of the zone. We arrive, in the evening, to one of the posts where the fireplace and the roasted young goat are waiting for us.
The second day is dedicated to ride along hills’ edges, looking for the condors that nestle in quarry places. Salami, cheese, a walk and back to the horse, up to the campground. At night, campfire under a starred sky.
The third an last day: we come back to Don Segundo’s establishment, but now bordering the last virgin stretch of Limay River.

Cordillera Horse Ridings
