The Ville
Going along Nahuel Huapi Boulevard, 2 km. from El Cruce, it is located Nuestra Señora de la Asunción chapel, which is one of architect Alejandro Bustillo’s works. 100 m. further on you’ll find the entrance to El Messidor. El Messidor’s Lodging is located in the same estate (it belongs to the ISSN, socialized medicine of Neuquén Province)

School Nº 104:

Going on, along Nahuel Huapi St., the building where School Nº 104 worked appears on the right-hand side (Nowadays it is the Educational Camps Plant of Neuquén Province. The building was the seat of the school from 1938 up to its transfer, in 1975, to its current building in El Once neighbourhood). The school principal’s ex-house is today the Historic Regional Museum.

La Angostura Hotel:

In front of the museum we can see the entrance to this hotel, founded in 1938.
Continuing the journey we can have a sight of Lake Nahuel Huapi, a complex of cabins for renting, a wooden construction on the right-hand side, the park keepers’ house and, if we walk some metres along the little rubble path that is on the right hand, we find the place where the first-aid post worked, the house of the first photographer, the Croatian Don Martín Tranik, and an ancient wooden construction that belongs to Don Roberto Marimón, an ancient resident of this place that called it Quila Quinthue (It means Three Lookouts, in Mapuche).

Puerto Angostura (Angostura Port):

If we go along the boulevard we get to the traffic circle and in front of it we find National Parks’ building. Some metres from there, you’ll see the Angostura Port’s dock, on Mansa Bay and the beautiful beach from where lake excursions to Arrayanes Woods and other tours start.

Way to the port:

From the traffic circle and continuing the journey, on the right-hand side we find the building where the Mail Service worked, now occupied by Prefectura Naval Argentina. On the left-hand side, you can see beautiful private constructions, and further on, on the left-hand side, we access to Los Arrayanes National Park. At the end of Nahuel Huapi St., Brava Bay’s dock is placed. Another attraction of this place is the old building called La Flecha, the first general store that belonged to Barbagelata family. It dates from 1940 and worked until the beginning of the 80’s decade. Over time, the village activity focused in El Cruce and the ports’ zone became a residential place.
